Aman Term Takaful


An affordable Term Takaful Coverage for USD 25,000, USD 50,000, USD 75,000 or USD 100,000.
Underwritten by Archipelago Life Insurance Limited, specially designed for individual involved in non-hazardous occupation, this certificate offers yearly Takaful coverage for death due to all causes. To qualify, you must be between 19 to 70 years old on your next birthday. There are 4 options of Sum Covered that you can choose from to suit your own risk profile, namely USD 25,000,USD 50,000, USD 75,000 and USD 100,000 in the event of death due to all causes. This plan is specially designed to mitigate risk associated with working outdoors, safeguard your family’s financial future and ensuring your family has one less thing to worry about when the time comes.

Aman Term Takaful is a yearly renewable term Takaful plan which provides hassle free compensation to your next-of-kin, in the event of death due to all causes. This plan provides 24-hours worldwide and protecting you anywhere in the world, any time of the day.

Aman Term Takaful offers your next-of-kin:

  1. A cash lump sum of USD25,000, USD50,000, USD70,000 or USD 100,000 depending on the type of Sum Covered purchased, in the event of death due to all causes that happened to you;

Understanding our Certificate is simple. That’s because, we have simple, unambiguous and a clearly defined plan. Here is how it works:

You pay a certain amount of contribution per year, depending on your attained age in corresponding to the type of Sum Covered purchased, and you will gain:

•A lump sum of Sum Covered is payable to your next-of-kin in the event of death due to all causes that happened to you.

Just like most things for sale on the internet with their terms and conditions applied, our certificate is no different. Please read the Terms & Conditions carefully in order to know the full term of your Takaful coverage, before purchasing our Certificate.

Our Aman Term Takaful is offered to nationalities of Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Thailand only with age of entry between 19 years old to a maximum of 70 years old on their next birthday. Individuals must be in normal state of health and free from any congenital or physical deformity. Standard terms and conditions apply.

This type of Takaful product is suitable for you if you're not involved in hazardous occupation. It doesn’t matter if you are employed or self-employed.

Certain implications may apply in the way your next-of-kin is compensated and that you may be unaware of, hence it is important for you to read though our terms and conditions and understand them thoroughly. They may look lengthy, but they are straightforward. Here they are:

  1. Key terms and condition that you should be aware of:
    1. Importance of disclosure
      You must disclose all material facts such as medical conditions and state your age correctly. Your Certificate shall be void or invalidated if you fail to disclose or wrongfully disclose any material fact. You should also provide sufficient and accurate information to enable us to advise you on the suitability of this plan, taking into consideration the appropriateness of the plan to your needs and circumstances.
    2. Free-Look-Period/ Period Of Khiyar (Right of Cancellation)
      You may cancel this Certificate by writing to us within fifteen (15) days after you receive this Certificate. If the Certificate is cancelled within this free look period, we will refund all Contributions paid without interest less any expenses incurred by us in connection with this Certificate, subject to no claims during such period.
  2. Wakalah Fees
    Administration Fees: up to 40% of Takaful Contribution
    Management Expenses: 25% of Takaful Contribution
  3. Aman Term Takaful Certificate is available to individuals aged between 19 to 70 on their next birthday, must be in normal health and free from any physical deformity.
  4. No Takaful Benefit shall be payable if the death/injury/any medical or physical condition of the Person Covered is caused directly or indirectly, wholly or partly, by one of the following:
    1. •Pre-existing condition as defined in the Definition section of this Certificate; or
    2. •Murder by a beneficiary or heirs; or
    3. •Suicide within (2) years from the Certificate issue date; or
    4. •Insanity, intentional self-inflicted injuries or any attempted threat while sane or insane; or
    5. •Execution of a judicial capital sentence; or
    6. •War, invasion, act of foreign enemy, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, mutiny or usurped power, military or popular uprising; or
    7. •Act of terrorism involving the use or release or the threat of any nuclear weapon or device or chemical or biological agent. For the purpose of the exclusion, ‘act of terrorism’ means an act including but not limited to the use of force or violence and/or threat thereof, of any person or group(s) of persons, whether acting alone or on behalf of or in connection with any organization (s) or government (s) committed for political, religious, ideological or similar purposes including the intention to influence any government and/or to put the public, or any section of the public in fear; or
    8. •Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) or AIDS Related Complex (ARC) or Human Immunodeficiency Virus Infection (HIV)except as a result of blood transfusion; or
    9. •Intoxication by alcohol or drugs (other than those prescribed by a qualified registered Medical Practitioner); or
    10. •Childbirth, miscarriage, pregnancy or any complications thereof; or
    11. •For transplantation surgery with the Person Covered as donor; or
    12. •While travelling in an aircraft or sea vessel as a member of the crew, except only as a fare-paying passenger in an aircraft or sea vessel licensed for passenger service; or
    13. •An aircraft or sea vessel being withdrawn from service, whether temporary or otherwise, on the recommendation of a relevant port authority, the civil aviation authority or any similar organisation; or
    14. •Any condition that results from the use, existence or escape of nuclear weapons material or ionizing radiation from or contamination by radioactivity from any nuclear fuel or nuclear waste from the combustion of nuclear fuel; or
    15. •Radioactive toxic explosive or other hazardous properties of any explosive nuclear assembly, or of its nuclear component; or
    16. •Death arising from racing of any kind (except foot racing), hazardous sports such as but not limited to skydiving, water skiing, underwater activities requiring breathing apparatus, winter sports, professional sports and illegal activities; or
    17. •Congenital Deformity
      Any medical or physical abnormalities existing at the time of birth, as well as neonatal physical abnormalities developing within 6 months from the time of birth (more commonly known as Congenital Condition), whether known or unknown to the Person Covered prior to the Certificate inception; or
    18. •Physical Deformity
      a)Any pre-existing physical impairment/deformities or mental retarded condition prior to Certificate inception; or
      b)Any pre-existing physical or mental defect or infirmity, illness, disease, parasite, bacterial or viral infections diagnosed or treated prior to the inception date even it is contracted by accident; or
    19. •Any activities against the Syariah principle and guidelines.

The claimant must notify Archipelago Life Insurance Limited within fifteen (15) days after the date notification of claim or as soon as possible, To make a claim, the following documents are required to be submitted by trustee or executor or lawyer or next of kin, but not limited to:

  1. Aman Term Takaful certificate
  2. Proof of ownership of claimant
  3. The birth certificate, identification documents or other relevant documents we may require of the Person Covered or the claimant
  4. The duly completed claim form
  5. Proof of the event giving rise to claim under this Certificate
  6. Police report/accident report (original)
  7. Certified death certificate
  8. Certified post mortem
  9. Letter from embassy in country of destination (original)
  10. Any other document we may request for processing claim

Submit your scanned copy of claim form complete with necessary supporting documents via email to claims@archipelagolife.com. Archipelago Life Insurance Limited reserves the right to request for the hardcopy of aforesaid documents, which can be submitted to B-08-07. We will not be liable if the claimant fails to provide the documents necessary to establish a claim and/or entitlement under the certificate. Archipelago Life Insurance Limited reserve the right to appoint any medical physician/specialist and/or any other professional support for reassessment or to assist on the claim should there be a room for dispute or ambiguity.

We recommend that claimants keep copies of all claims submissions until they have been fully settled.

If you do not get a response within 14 business days, please call Archipelago Life Insurance Limited Customer Service Department at 603 6201 0488 giving your certificate number and brief details of your claim.
